Cornish Bakery has brought a slice of Cornwall to Lincoln’s historic Cornhill, opening a striking new design‑led bakery and creating 15 local jobs.
Born in Mevagissey, the independent brand threw open the doors to its first Lincoln site on Saturday, March 28 at 9–12 Cornhill.
Inside, hungry Lincolnites will find a fully open working kitchen that puts the entire craft process on show — from dough being kneaded to pastries coming out of the oven.

In a community‑minded move, the bakery has teamed up with Let Them Eat Cake, a weekly outreach charity supporting Lincoln’s homeless community with hot meals. Surplus bakes will now go straight to the charity.

The 54‑seat space blends modern industrial style with warm, tactile finishes: exposed brickwork, stainless steel detailing, Carrara marble counters and soft leather seating. The shopfront is wrapped in a baked terracotta shade, while feature lighting by Studio Haran, Mandarin Stone tiles and Clayworks plaster complete the look.
Cornish Bakery is open daily from 8am to 6pm.
