Plastic spoons at the ready, this is one not to miss…

This May East Midlands film fans will be able to attend an extra-special screening of the ‘world’s worst film’ The Room with actor Greg Sestero (oh- hi Mark), who plays Mark – the ‘best friend’ of main star Tommy Wiseau’s Johnny.

Sestero will be live in person in the room to meet fans, sign autographs and giving you a live commentary on this disasterpiece.

The event is being organised by Nottingham bad movie night group ‘Notts Bad Movie Club’ who organise events for people ‘who love laughing at terrible films’!

A spokesman: “Enjoy mocking the worst of cinema with friends and one or two drinks. Whether you want to sit back in silence and enjoy the film, shout out your favourite lines, boo the bad guy, cheer a rubbish action scene or laugh in the face of horrendous acting – this event is for you!! A ‘no obligation to get involved’ screening!

During the night there will be a Room-based quiz throughout the screening, The Room-themed music before the film starts and free sweets.

Here’s a quick synopsis of The Room, for those not in the know…

Johnny is a successful banker who lives happily in a San Francisco townhouse with his fiancée, Lisa. One day, inexplicably, she gets bored of him and decides to seduce Johnny’s best friend, Mark. From there, nothing will be the same again.

“Objectively of course it’s beyond terrible but take it as a comedy, you’ll have the greatest time ever.” – Rotten Tomatoes
