Pete Tong’s Ibiza Classics is heading to Nottingham – and the line-up is seriously stacked

Expect huge house bangers and some emotional singalong moments

If you’re already dreaming about swapping cold winter nights for Balearic sunsets and hands-in-the-air anthems, East Midlanders, this might be the next best thing.

Dance music heavyweight Pete Tong has revealed the blockbuster line-up joining him for this year’s Ibiza Classics arena tour, bringing a huge dose of White Isle magic to Nottingham this December at Motorpoint Arena.

Joining Tong and The Essential Orchestra across the tour will be house music legend Ultra Naté, alongside rising stars Poppy Baskcomb and Paige Cavell, who’ll perform at every date. Fans can also expect special guest DJ sets from some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Paul Woolford, Leftfield, Greg Wilson, Nancy Noise, Justin Robertson, Jasper James and Gina Breeze.

The seven-date tour kicks off in Glasgow before stopping in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham and Nottingham, before wrapping up with two huge nights at London’s O2 Arena.

And if you thought Ibiza Classics was showing signs of slowing down after a decade, think again.

What began as a one-off performance for BBC Radio 1’s Proms at the Royal Albert Hall in 2015 has grown into one of the UK’s most celebrated live music events. Blending a full orchestra with euphoric dancefloor classics, the show has become famous for transforming Ibiza’s biggest anthems into epic, spine-tingling live performances.

Following a landmark year that saw four sold-out shows at London’s Royal Albert Hall, Ibiza Classics continues to prove that dance music and live orchestration are a match made in heaven.

Expect huge house bangers, emotional singalong moments and enough nostalgia to transport you straight back to the dancefloor.

Few people are better placed to deliver it than Pete Tong. Across a career spanning more than three decades, the DJ, broadcaster and producer has helped shape dance music as we know it, championing generations of artists through clubs, festivals and his legendary Radio 1 shows.

Ibiza Classics comes to Nottingham Motorpoint Arena on Thursday, December 10.
