Christmas may be the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be bloody expensive – especially the seasonal grub.
But have no fear penny-watchers, it looks like Aldi might have come to the rescue.
The Budget supermarket chain is claiming to be offering the “cheapest” Christmas dinner on the market.
Customers can pick up fresh vegetables for 5p as part of its Super Six promotion, and fresh turkeys have been reduced to £2.49 per kilo.
Their Yorkshire puddings can be found in-store for 40p and sage and onion stuffing for 39p.
Its value Christmas dinner range was launched on Saturday.
The supermarket chain also offers a deluxe range with whole turkeys costing £13.49 per a kilo and a stuffed turkey crown setting customers back £20.99 per kilo.
This comes as the retailer wins ‘Retailer of the Year’ for the third consecutive year and ‘Christmas Retailer of the Year’ for the sixth year running.
