Smash-hit musical Kinky Boots is heading out on a tour of the UK next year, and the talented cast will be stopping off at Curve in Leicester.

The Olivier, Tony and Grammy Award-winning musical Kinky Boots The Musical, will tour the UK and Ireland from January 17, 2025.

The Kinky Boots tour will stop off at Curve for performances between Friday 17 to Saturday, January 25, 2025

The musical features a score by Cyndi Lauper and based on a book by Harvey Fierstein and will stars TV dance sensation and international champion Johannes Radebe as Lola and rising star Dan Partridge as Charlie Price.

In case you’re unfamiliar with the Kinky Boots story, here’s brief rundown.

After inheriting his family’s failing shoe factory and with a relationship on the rocks, life is proving to be very challenging for Charlie Price. That is until he meets Lola, a drag queen whose sparkle and unsteady heels might just hold the answer to saving the struggling business.

Curve’s chief executive Chris Stafford and artistic director Nikolai Foster said: We are beyond thrilled to have the opportunity to create a brand-new Kinky Boots at Curve, returning the story to its native Midlands and manufacturing heartland of Leicester, where our theatre proudly stands today.

“This is a story of British industrial heritage, told through Fierstein’s fiercely intelligent words, and Lauper’s explosive songs, in a truly joyful musical about overcoming adversity, celebrating individuality, the power of a good pair of heels and community spirit.

“We can’t wait to share this explosion of joy with audiences next year.”

Tickets will go on general sale from Tuesday, April 23, all at 12 noon. For further information, visit www.curveonline.co.uk, call 0116 242 3595 or visit Curve’s Box Office in-person.
