Comedy legend Peter Kay was handed a special award on Friday night as his record-breaking Better Late Than Never tour continues to pack out venues across the country
The Bolton-born comedian was presented with the Golden Arrow Award on stage by Motorpoint Arena’s chief executive Martin Ingham. The award recognises artists who have performed at the venue at least ten times.
Kay’s appearance marks his 10th and 11th shows at the arena as part of a tour now in its fourth year – widely recognised as one of the most successful British comedy tours of all time.
On receiving the Golden Arrow, Peter told the audience: “That’s very kind – thank you very much. Thank you for tonight, I really do appreciate you all coming and waiting for so long.”
The comedian’s strong connection with Nottingham audiences has seen him return repeatedly to the Motorpoint Arena, with a very limited number of tickets still available for the March 2026 dates. Some hospitality packages are also still available.
In a touching gesture, all profits from the tour’s final performances will be donated to 12 leading cancer charities supporting vital research and services across the UK.
Kay is set to return to Motorpoint Arena Nottingham on 20 and 21 March 2026, for his 12th and 13th Nottingham shows.
Hospitality packages for the March shows start from £165 per person and include premium seats along with access to exclusive hospitality lounges, bars and restaurants with food and drinks included, depending on the package booked.
