Legendary poet Dr John Cooper Clarke announces HUGE gig in Nottingham next year

Poetry phenomenon and cult legend Dr John Cooper Clarke is planning to play a landmark gig in Nottingham next year.

The literary great will be taking to the stage at the city’s Royal Concert Hall on Friday, March 21 at 7:30pm

Cooper Clarke will be performing in Nottingham on World Poetry Day 2025.

John will be joined by special guests Henry Normal, Jan Brierton and Freya Beer.

The literary great has many achievements under his belt including performing alongside some of the UK’s biggest punk bands like Joy Division, New Order and The Buzzcocks just to name a few. 

Fans can expect a one-of-a-kind journey through poetry by one of the world’s most important and entertaining spoken word artists.

He’ll be performing classic numbers including Chickentown and Beasley Street as well as brand new material from the new collection “WHAT”.

John will bring his unique perspective and incredible work to his biggest audiences yet – with plenty of laughs along the way.
