Groovebox is bringing its biggest-ever day rave to Wollaton Hall next summer

At the top of the bill is house and techno giant Jamie Jones

East Midlands ravers, clear some space in your diary: Groovebox In The Park is heading back to Wollaton Hall in Nottingham and this time it’s going massive.

After selling out its debut edition, the day rave is returning to Wollaton Hall & Deer Park with twice the space, a bigger crowd and three arenas instead of two. Basically, if last time was the warm-up, this is the main event.

At the top of the bill is house and techno giant Jamie Jones, who’ll headline the Main Arena alongside Anil Aras B2B Laura de Greef, Job de Jong, Kepler, Marsolo and M-High. More acts are still to be announced, too.

Over in the Submerged Arena, things get considerably bassier. HEDEX & EKSMAN lead a huge drum & bass line-up featuring BASSLAYERZ, MOZEY, SOTA, A Little Sound, AMPLIFY, FMS with a six-deck set, NERSHA, SIMULA B2B SKANTIA and DR.P.

There’s a formidable MC roster too, including 2Shy MC, Blu Bomma, Carasel, IC3, Jakes, Spyda and Weejii, alongside Emporio and Stevo.

The big addition for the latest edition is arena number three. Hosted by Discobox, it’ll feature Groovebox residents dishing out disco for anyone needing a temporary breather from the house, techno and drum & bass.

And if your idea of raving involves slightly less queueing and considerably nicer toilets, there’s VIP.

Upgrading gets you priority entry, prime views of the main stage and access to the VIP arena, where you’ll find private bars, seating, tables and posher loos.

There’s plenty happening beyond the music as well. Expect roaming performers, stilt walkers, fire entertainers, rides, glitter and hair stalls, merch, photo opportunities and enough street food and bars to keep the party going all day.

Put all that inside the grounds of one of Nottingham’s most spectacular landmarks and you’ve got the makings of one very big summer rave.
