New Music Fix Live is heading to the city this November, with Sleaford Mods, Divorce, Yazmin Lacey and more joining the party
Nottingham’s music scene is about to get some serious national airtime.
BBC Radio 6 Music is bringing New Music Fix Live to Nottingham this November, with four days of broadcasts, live sessions and DJ sets celebrating the artists, venues and people making the city’s music scene tick.
Presenters Deb Grant and Nathan Shepherd announced that their New Music Fix show will broadcast from Nottingham from November 16-19, with BBC Radio Nottingham’s studios on London Road becoming 6 Music’s temporary home in the city.

If you’re not familiar with New Music Fix, the clue is very much in the name. The show is dedicated entirely to new releases, jumping between genres and championing the kind of artists you might be telling everyone about six months from now.
New Music Fix Live has been taking the show on the road annually since 2023, previously stopping off in Glasgow, Belfast and Sheffield. Each edition spends four days digging into a different UK city’s music scene.
And now it’s Nottingham’s turn.
You might have missed…
Across the week, listeners can expect locally recorded sessions from some seriously good Nottingham names, including Sleaford Mods, Divorce and Yazmin Lacey, with independent venues around the city providing the backdrop.
Things ramp up on November 19, when New Music Fix Live heads to Movers for a special extended edition of New Music Fix Daily.
Running from 7pm until 10pm, the show will feature DJ sets from Crazy P, Grace Sands and BigSexy, performed in front of an audience of 6 Music listeners.
BBC Radio 6 Music boss Samantha Moy said the station was proud to be heading to Nottingham following previous editions in Glasgow, Belfast and Sheffield, describing the city as another “flourishing local music scene”.
And if you can’t make it along? You shouldn’t be completely left out. Performance highlights from the week will also appear across BBC Radio 6 Music’s social channels.
