Fans of Bustler Market bids have said their final farewell to its Derby home of five years before bulldozers move in to make way for a new housing development.
Bustler Market started life at Derby’s Bus Station before relocating to its current home at The Chocolate Factory in John Street back in 2020.
But the site has been chosen to become part of the Castleward regeneration scheme near the city centre and will now be demolished.

Castleward is a £100m “urban village” redevelopment of largely industrial land between Derby Midland Railway Station and the city centre, and has been ongoing in phases since it was approved in 2012.
The fifth phase of the scheme includes the Bustler Market site.
Their final market was held on Saturday, December 20 and organisers say they are now on the hunt for an alternative location.
In a statement on social media, the Bustler Market team said “A huge thank you to everyone who actively supported efforts to retain the venue for a while longer. As a small business that began in Derby, bringing street food to the city – it means the world.
“We can’t wait for our next adventure and we will be sure to keep you updated.”
