The Derby branch of Primark is set to get a new home in 2027 when it makes the move to The Derbion shopping centre.

The budget brand is currently based in the city centre’s Cornmarket and their relocated store is expected to open in the first half of 2027.

The relocation forms part of a wider redevelopment of the centre, with Primark and Derbion both stumping up the cash to pay for improvements.

Several existing tenants, including Superdrug, H Samuel, The Perfume Shop, and Iceland, are being relocated or refitted to make way for the new store which will have a dedicated entrance on Albion Walk.

Boots is also set to expandits opticians, hearing care and pharmacy services as part of the Derbion reshuffle.

Recent additions at the shopping centre include Victoria’s Secret, Seasalt and Luke 1977, alongside refurbished stores for Footlocker, Pandora and Moss.

The centre attracts more than 15 million visitors annually and remains one of the UK’s top 20 retail and leisure destinations.
