On their website, the owner has shared a bit more about the background of the business.

It says: “The story began in 1968, in the village of Batim in Goa, where my grandmother opened a humble coffee bar to bring people together through food and culture. That same spirit lives on today at Golden Sands.

“As her grandson, I’m proud to introduce a new dining experience in Leicester – offering authentic Goan and Portuguese dishes, rooted in tradition and served with warmth. Welcome to Golden Sands, where every plate tells a story”

Golden Sands is open seven days a week and serves meals between 4-10pm and take bookings via the website or Instagram.
