Dot to Dot Festival: These seven local bands and musicians are in with a chance of headlining at Nottingham’s iconic Rock City

The shortlist for a competition to open the Dot To Dot Festival at Nottingham’s iconic Rock City venue has now been announced.

One of the seven Future Sound of Nottingham (FSN) finalists for 2024 will be handed the opportunity to play the iconic main stage of Rock City. 

After receiving over 100 entries, seven artists have been chosen for the FSN final and are as follows:

  • Arlo Kit 
  • Kelsey and The Embers
  • Georgian
  • Noemi Jazzmine
  • KAP
  • Fox Evades
  • Wilf Spiv

All seven finalists will be listened to by multiple national and local music industry professionals, who will score each artist on a variety of factors.

The top scoring finalist will open the Rock City main stage at Dot To Dot on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

Running for over ten years, the Future Sound of Nottingham is organised by local music organisation Nusic who help talented Notts musicians at the start of their career. .

FSN’s long and storied 10-year history has included some of Nottingham’s most exciting artists. Previous FSN Finalists include ALT BLK ERA (who have gone on to sell out The Bodega and have multiple BBC Radio 1 plays) Emily Makis (who co-wrote Chase & Status’ ‘Disconnect’ and won DJ Mag’s ‘Best Vocalist’), and Bru-C’s previous band (who has had a UK Top 20 single + international acclaim).

Dot To Dot 2024 is just around the corner, with Jockstrap returning as this year’s headliners, joined by Wunderhorse headlining the second stage, along with The Magic Gang, Antony Szmierek, Abby Sage, Bleach Lab, The Bug Club, Charlotte Plank, The Dare, Hovvdy, Infinity Song, Jianbo, Jgrret, Panic Shack, Pastel, Picture Parlour, Tim Atlas and many more.
