One of the East Midlands’ most spectacular concert venues has just unveiled its first big booking for 2027 and it’s a double bill packed with singalong hits.
Live at Lincoln Castle has announced that Jack Savoretti and James Morrison will join forces for a special co-headline show inside the castle’s medieval walls, marking the first concert reveal for next summer’s series.
The announcement lands just weeks after this year’s Live at Lincoln Castle season wrapped up, with 12 headline gigs drawing around 60,000 music fans to the historic venue. Organisers are already thinking bigger for 2027, with plans to expand the programme to 14 shows, making it the largest season to date.
The Lincoln date will see two of Britain’s most-loved singer-songwriters sharing the same stage. Both artists will take turns closing shows throughout the tour, with Jack Savoretti set to headline the Lincoln performance.
Savoretti arrives in Lincoln fresh from the release of his ninth studio album, We Will Always Be The Way We Were, a record that sees him returning to the heartfelt storytelling and cinematic songwriting that first put him on the map. The singer has spent the past two decades building a devoted following, scoring multiple top 10 albums, two UK number ones and millions of sales worldwide. Recent highlights include a sold-out 20th anniversary show at London’s Royal Albert Hall and a surprise Isle of Wight Festival appearance alongside long-time collaborator KT Tunstall.
Meanwhile, James Morrison continues to prove why he’s one of the UK’s most enduring soul-pop talents. Twenty years into his career, the BRIT Award winner is still packing venues and turning out chart hits. His latest album, Fight Another Day, became his highest-charting release in more than a decade, while classics such as You Give Me Something, Broken Strings and Wonderful World remain staples of British pop playlists.
