Texas and Simple Minds announced headliners at Live at Lincoln Castle in 2025 – with tickets going on sale this Friday

The acts headlining next summer’s Live at Lincoln Castle have been announced with Scottish rock icons Texas and Simple Minds now being revealed as two of the main performers at the gig next summer.

Texas will make their castle debut on Sunday, June 15 while Simple Minds will head to the castle on Saturday, June 28.

Tickets to both shows go on sale at 9am Friday (4 October) from lincolncastle.com and www.ticketmaster.co.uk

The headlining shows are the first to be announced to take place in the stunning grounds of Lincoln Castle next summer as part of an ongoing partnership with Lincolnshire County Council and Live Nation promoters Cuffe and Taylor – one of the UK’s leading promoters of live music, theatre, and events.

This year saw the partnership present Live at Lincoln Castle for the first time with headliner shows from Crowded House, Paloma Faith, Kaiser Chiefs, Madness, Jess Glynne and Gregory Porter.

And now summer 2025 is kicking off with the announcement that both Texas and Simple Minds will conquer Lincoln.

Following on from their critically acclaimed sold-out UK arena tour, Texas will showcase five decades of music from the worldwide classic I Don’t Want A Lover to the modern-day hits of Mr Haze and Keep on Talking.

With more than 40 million albums sold, their songs continue to resonate with fans across the world including the ever popular Say What You Want, Summer Son and Inner Smile.

Simple Minds are one of the most successful bands to ever come from the UK, selling more than 60 million records worldwide and having number one singles on both sides of the Atlantic.

The group are behind such iconic hits as Promised You a Miracle, Glittering Prize, Alive and Kicking, Sanctify Yourself and Don’t You Forget About Me and are consistently acclaimed as one of the best live bands of their generation.

Cllr Lindsey Cawrey, executive councillor for culture at Lincolnshire County Council, welcomed the return of the concert series.

She said: “We’re so excited to have Live at Lincoln Castle returning for summer 2025. It’s a chance for even more visitors to experience world-class live music in this completely unique environment, and for us to show off our fantastic castle and wonderful city to these giants of the entertainment world.”

Cuffe and Taylor promoter Mark Harrison said: “We’ve had a great first year presenting concerts in this iconic setting and we’re looking forward to bringing even more brilliant performers to Lincoln for another fantastic summer of live music.”
