Whether your pup is a seasoned poser or just a master of the “puppy dog eyes,” the Derby Dog Show at Derby Market Hall is the place to be this weekend.

Event highlights include a dog show competition, agility course for your pet, photo opportunities and pop-up market. There is even an award up for grabs for best sausage catcher.

Daft Funk Live – 02 Academy Leicester
‘Daft Funk Live’ has become one of the world’s most prestigious Daft Punk tribute bands (totalling over 100 shows around the world and totalling over 6 million views on YouTube) – and they’re heading to Leicester this Saturday night.

While diligently constructing live renditions of Daft Punk’s legendary performances and appearances, they incorporate their own synchronised lighting show together with live instruments to give a truly immersive and unique experience. The Lancashire Hotspots – Hairy Dog, Derby
The Lancashire Hotpots are a comedy folk band from St Helens, (historically part of Lancashire), England.
They were formed back in 2006 and have become known across the country for performing and recording songs about Lancashire, technology and British culture, with highlights such as “He’s Turned Emo”, “Chippy Tea” and “eBay Eck”.
The group’s songs make use of Lancashire dialect. Their first single, “He’s Turned Emo”, gained over 230,000 plays on MySpace in March 2008, and was featured on BBC Radio One by Colin Murray.
Their debut album, Never Mind The Hotpots, was a minor hit, and eventually went on to become the number one comedy album on iTunes in UK, and number two in the BBC Radio 6 Music Album Charts.

Platform Sessions – Engine Shed, Lincoln
Former lead singer of 90s indie sensations The Seahorses Chris Helme arrives this weekend in Lincoln to play The Platform Sessions at The Engine Shed on Sunday, April 12.
Playing the best of The Seahorses, who featured Chris and Stone Roses guitarist John Squire, including “Love Is the Law”, “Blinded by the Sun”, “Love Me and Leave Me”, “You Can Talk to Me” and a selection of spectacular songs from his solo career.
