Helping you make the most of life in the East Midlands

The Lincoln Imporium opened its doors for the first time today on Steep Hill – and just in time for Halloween

Two traders are hoping to imp-ress (was this really necessary? – Ed) residents and tourists visiting the historic city of Lincoln with a new store dedicated to its most famous legend.

Located at the top of Steep Hill, The Lincoln Imporium is now bringing a piece of Lincoln’s legendary history to life with a large selection of handmade imps on offer to visitors who want to take a piece of the city back home with them.

As well as selling models of Lincoln’s famous imp, the new store also offers customers an immersive experience in a forest-like setting while stepping back in time to Georgian England.

The store has been opened by friends and business partners Thomas Atkins and Marcus Askam-Yates.

in a post on social media Marcus wrote: “Thomas and I started this journey to today a little over 10 months ago and are very excited – and relieved – to be opening on Halloween and sharing this experience with locals, visitors to the city and all those across the land.

“Feel free to come along and experience the store there’s lots of points of intrigue as well as hundreds of imps to choose from.”

You can find the store at at 36 Steep Hill.

And again, apologies for the pathetic pun.
