Fresh from becoming the first choir in history to win Britain’s Got Talent, The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir are taking their feel-good, goosebump-inducing live show on the road, with East Midlands fans set to get two chances to see them in 2027.
The choir, who captured the nation’s hearts with their emotional performances and authentic story, have announced a major UK headline tour that includes a stop at Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall on Saturday March 20, 2027, before a visit to Leicester’s De Montfort Hall on Friday April 9, 2027.
If you’ve somehow missed their meteoric rise, the choir started life in the most unlikely way imaginable. What began as a call-out from Jeremy Clarkson for farmers to sing on a Hawkstone beer advert grew into something far more powerful: a community of agricultural workers using music to tackle loneliness, share experiences and champion mental health across rural Britain.
For many members, life is spent working long hours alone in fields, barns and tractor cabs. Singing together created friendships, sparked conversations and ultimately gave birth to one of the most inspiring stories in British entertainment.
Under the guidance of musical directors Simon Gwilliam and Lizzie Deane, the group stormed onto Britain’s Got Talent with a moving rendition of Elbow’s ‘One Day Like This’, earning Amanda Holden’s Golden Buzzer and sending them straight through to the live shows.
They followed it up with a soaring version of Bastille’s ‘Pompeii’ before making history in the grand final. Instead of relying on another cover, they performed their own original song, ‘This Is Home’ – a heartfelt anthem celebrating farming, community and belonging.
The gamble paid off. The public voted them winner and the farmers became the first choir ever to take the Britain’s Got Talent crown.
Now they’re swapping television studios for some of the country’s biggest venues, including a headline date at the world-famous London Palladium. Audiences can expect a mix of original songs and the emotionally charged arrangements that turned them into a national phenomenon.
What makes The Hawkstone Farmers’ Choir stand out isn’t just the huge harmonies. Their story has always been about more than music. The group have made mental health awareness central to their mission and pledged their Britain’s Got Talent prize money to charities supporting farming communities and mental wellbeing.
For East Midlands audiences, the Nottingham and Leicester dates are likely to be among the most anticipated stops of the tour.
