The Beefy Boys are opening their brand new Nottingham restaurant on Friday, June 19, and yes, your post‑night‑out burger plans just levelled up.
Set to be their most northern location yet, the new Queen Street spot follows huge success across Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford. Basically, they’ve smashed the south and are now taking on Nottingham and the north.
Speaking about the move, the founders said…
“We’ve been eyeing up Nottingham for a while — it felt only right to finally bring proper burgers north. We’re buzzing to open, and honestly can’t wait to see what Nottingham makes of us (and our burgers).”

If you’re somehow unfamiliar with the Beefy Boys lore, the brand was founded back in 2011 by Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy, Daniel Mayo‑Evans, Christian Williams and Lee Symonds — and started life as a humble backyard BBQ. Casual.

Since then, things have escalated. Fast.
The team placed second at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas in 2014, finished fourth in Indianapolis in 2024, and in 2023 were officially crowned UK’s Best Burger at the National Burger Awards. Not bad for a few lads and a grill.
And they’re not slowing down anytime soon. Alongside opening the Nottingham restaurant, the group is releasing their second cookbook, The Beefy Boys’ Great British BBQ, published on May 7 and priced at £20.

Better yet, they’ll be heading to Waterstones Nottingham on Thursday, June 4 for a book signing. So yes, you can meet the minds behind your future favourite burger before smashing one a couple of weeks later.
Nottingham: prepare yourselves. 🍔🔥
