Derby, get your going‑out playlists ready because the city is officially entering its hot nightlife era.

Ryder’s Bar is dropping on April 3, and honestly? Prepare yourself for “new fave spot unlocked.”

Taking over the old Forge’s Steakhouse on Blacksmith Yard, just off Sadler Gate – RIP to the steaks, hello to the chaos – Ryder’s is promising a five‑nights‑a‑week mashup of bar vibes, club energy, and night‑out delusion in the best way possible.

Open Wednesday through to Sunday, it aims to bring fresh energy to the city after dark with cutting-edge music, electric atmosphere, and late-night moments collide – with two different types of music played across two floors each night.

Downstairs, the main club delivers top DJs, big beats, and a dancefloor built to move. Those venturing upstairs will find The Snug — an elevated bar and club experience combining stylish drinks, exclusive vibes, and a soundtrack that keeps the night alive. The Snug is the perfect place to dance until sunrise or sip cocktails above the crowd.

Ryder’s plans on offering a range of candy-bar themed cocktails as well as wines, beers, spirits and soft drinks, and students and those working in the hospitality industry will be able to benefit from a discount.

Ryder’s Glow in the Dark launch weekend begins on April 3, with the venue open from 6pm until 1am with an introductory offer of two cocktails for £12 and six shots for £10.

Can’t wait!

Entry is free.
