RAIL SALE: 100,000 discounted train tickets up for grabs with travel from Notts to Skeg Vegas now cheaper than a chippy tea

100,000 discounted train tickets have gone up for sale, with East Midlanders now able to bag a ticket from Nottingham to Skeg Vegas for less than the price of a chippy tea.

East Midlands Railway (EMR) today (14) launched their sale – which offers the chance to save up to 50 per cent on some journeys.

The Rail Sale tickets, which are on sale until 23:59, Monday, January 20 or until all the sale tickets have been sold, include offers such as Sheffield to London for £20.70, Nottingham to London for £18.50 and Derby to London for £20.

Travel is available for journeys to and from London and great savings can also be found from the following stations: Chesterfield, Alfreton, Beeston, Long Eaton, East Midlands Parkway, Loughborough, Market Harborough, Kettering, Corby, Wellingborough, Bedford and Luton.

There are also a range of discounted tickets to other parts of the network including Manchester, Liverpool and Skegness.

Tickets can be purchased for travel between Tuesday, 21 January and Monday, 31 March 2025. Tickets must be purchased at least seven days in advance of the date of travel.

Simon Pready, commercial director at East Midlands Railway, said: “Tickets are on a first come, first serve basis – so those looking to take advantage of these great fares should book early to avoid disappointment. When they’re gone, they’re gone.”

Rail Sale tickets will be valid only on the date and train shown on the ticket.

Tickets are on sale now and are only available here: https://www.eastmidlandsrailway.co.uk/rail-sale
