From chart-topping singers and Premier League heroes to smash-hit musicals, true crime investigations and a festive panto, Loughborough Town Hall has unveiled an autumn programme packed with crowd-pleasers.
Leading the season is An Intimate Evening with The Voice on September 27, when tenor Russell Watson brings stories and songs from a remarkable career that has seen him perform for royalty, top the charts and overcome life-threatening illness.
The growing obsession with true crime is also well catered for. Former undercover detective and Hunted star Peter Bleksley opens the season on September 3 with The Makings of a Murderer, sharing stories from his time infiltrating criminal gangs and investigating some of Britain’s most notorious cases.
Later in the autumn, former MI6 officer Matthew Dunn lifts the lid on Britain’s secret intelligence world in Operation MI6, while renowned forensic pathologist Dr Richard Shepherd returns with Time of Death: More Unnatural Causes, offering an insider’s look at some of the country’s most high-profile death investigations.
Football fans can relive one of the greatest underdog stories in sporting history when Leicester City title winners Wes Morgan and Robert Huth reunite on November 10 to share behind-the-scenes tales from the Foxes’ unforgettable Premier League triumph.

Musical theatre remains a cornerstone of the season, with a string of major productions arriving from local companies. Audiences can catch the uplifting Olivier Award-winning Come From Away, Queen-inspired rock spectacular We Will Rock You, family favourite The Sound of Music and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic Jesus Christ Superstar.
Live music is equally varied, ranging from singer-songwriter Gilbert O’Sullivan to a host of tribute spectaculars celebrating ABBA, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. Leicester Big Band also makes its Town Hall debut with a celebration of James Bond themes and classic movie soundtracks.
On the comedy front, Carl Hutchinson, Andy Hamilton and Rob Rouse all feature, while popular comedy night Chuckl brings a headline appearance from surreal stand-up favourite Milton Jones.

And yes, Christmas really is just around the corner. The festive season gets underway from November 21 when award-winning Little Wolf Entertainment returns with Dick Whittington, marking the first time the company has staged the classic pantomime in Loughborough and the venue’s first production of the title since 2013.
With big-name guests, blockbuster musicals, live music, comedy and festive family entertainment all on the bill, this looks set to be one of Loughborough Town Hall’s strongest seasons in recent years.
