First look inside huge new HMV store opening up in The Derbion with more than 30,000 vinyls, books and blu-rays on offer

Music lovers and film fanatics, this one’s for you…

HMV Derby is reopening its new huge unit within The Derbion shopping centre this Friday (13). 

The store offers a completely reimagined space that owners say has been specially designed to enhance the way fans discover music, film, and TV.

With over 30,000 different products on offer, the 6,402 sq. ft shop is set over two floors, offering customers 4,000 different vinyl albums, 9,300 different CDs, as well as 5,700 films and TV shows on 4K Ultra HD, Blu Ray and DVD. It also has a book range featuring new fiction, Young Adult and Manga titles, graphic novels, music biographies as well as a 2 for ?9 book offer.

There will also be an extensive range of collectable merchandise on offer, with 4,000 pop culture products and 250 different T shirt designs available across franchises including Stranger Things, KPop Demon Hunters, and Funko POP!

Phil Halliday, Managing Director at hmv and Fopp said: The new Derby shop looks brilliant and is a testament to all the hard work the team have put into it over the past few weeks.

All shoppers will be able to take advantage of the “hmv delivers” service, which allows customers to order any items not in store to be delivered direct to their door
