Legendary Notts house music pioneer and DJ Graeme Park will be opening a live orchestral show celebrating club culture with a set at the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on Sunday, March 9.

Pure Club Classical is a fusion of dance, trance and club anthems performed by a 50-piece orchestra, dynamic vocalists, and stage performers.

The Limelight Orchestra will present the huge house classics, including Café Del Mar, Strings of Life and Insomnia as the venue transforms into a high-energy club with a breathtaking laser show.

The night kicks off in style at 4.30pm with an unmissable front-of-house DJ session from none other than Graeme Park, a legend in the city from his 1980s roots at the beloved Selectadisc record store to headlining global tours and venues for iconic dance music brands like Cream and Ministry Of Sound.

Graeme’s distinct house style honed from years at the forefront of the emerging house scene will set the mood with a two hour set in the foyer transformed to create a club vibe. Lovezoo resident DJ Leccy will also be taking a turn on the decks.

The night continues with two packed sets bursting with reimagined classics such as Hey Boy Hey Girl by The Chemical Brothers, and Children by Robert Miles.

It’s part of a growing appetite for daytime and evening events catering for all ages who love the energy of dance music but want to skip the late night early morning finish.

Paul Murphy, CEO, The Limelight Orchestra, said: “Our Pure Club Classical shows are a great opportunity for audiences to reconnect with all those amazing club bangers but with the benefit of ending the evening at a respectable hour! We’re delighted that the legendary Graeme Park will set the tone for this epic celebration of club culture – it’s going to be where classical grandeur meets the energy of the dance floor.”

Tickets from £34 plus booking fee, available from https://trch.co.uk/whats-on/pure-club-classical/
