Helping you make the most of life in the East Midlands

Cheers! Record Store Day will take place on April 12 – and a new beer partner has been announced

Mark your calendars vinyl fans, Record Store Day (RSD) is returning to the East Midlands for its 18th year on April 12, 2025.

Independent record shops across the East Midlands will now be gearing up for their biggest celebration of vinyl releases, in-store parties and independent record store culture.

As RSD celebrates its 18th birthday, alongside 18 years of incredible growth for vinyl and independent retailers, organisers have decided to kick off celebrations with the announcement of a brand-new beer partner – DEYA!

DEYA has been announced as the official beer partner of Record Store Day

DEYA Brewing Company, based in Cheltenham, are best known for their innovative, world-class beers. Sharing values such as creativity, independence, identity and a focus on community, their passion for craft beer makes them the perfect partner to celebrate all things indie.

DEYA’s social media & marketing manager Nicci Peet said: “We’re really excited to partner with Record Store Day. Music has been an important part of DEYA and our Taprooms so this felt like a natural fit.

“We’re passionate about independent venues and the art of vinyl and love the work Record Store Day does to support record shops and the industry. We’re here to help facilitate good vibes.”

To mark the partnership, DEYA will be brewing a special RSD beer that will be available in participating record stores, bottle shops and pubs in April 2025.

And completing the lineup of vinyl loving supporters helping to power indie record shop celebrations are returning partners Studio by Miraval and Bowers & Wilkins.

Studio by Miraval, the rose wine known for its unique connection to the world of music, continues its partnership with RSD for a second year. The renowned French wine-estate, Chateau Miraval, is home to one of the most iconic recording studios of all-time, including albums recorded by Pink Floyd and The Cranberries. They are set to celebrate the connection between music and wine throughout their RSD partnership

And finally, long-time partners Bowers & Wilkins who share the deep-rooted passion for vinyl and record stores, will once again be supporting the record store community with the very best audio equipment to enhance the vinyl listening experience.
