There’s something gloriously right about The Wonder Stuff and Inspiral Carpets hitting the road together.
Two bands who helped soundtrack a generation of messy hair, loud guitars and even louder nights out in the early 90s are teaming up, bringing their unmistakable blend of swagger, melody and Northern charm back to stages across the country.
It’s a tour that feels less like a reunion and more like a long‑overdue celebration—one that promises fuzzy riffs, big choruses and a healthy dose of nostalgia served with a smile – and us East Midlanders will be able to catch them in Leicester in Lincoln.
The Wonder Stuff announced a 40th anniversary UK tour for October and December 2026 early this week and revealed the Inspiral Carpets would be joining them.
The 16-date trek opens at Newcastle O2 City Hall on Thursday 1st October and comes to Leicester O2 Academy on Saturday, October 17 then Lincoln’s Engine Shed later that month on Thursday 29.
Tickets go on general sale from Friday, March 27 at 10am.
