Did you know that musical star Michael Ball has double the amount of blood in his body as that of the average human? It’s what allows him to belt out those big notes.

Well, that was the rumour being put about by Steven Toast in Matt Berry’s under appreciated Channel 4 sitcom Toast of London.

Whatever the truth behind Mr Ball’s talent, East Midlanders will be able to enjoy hearing him belt out those high notes in person when he hits the road next year, heads to the region to promote his latest long player Glow with a UK tour.

‘Glow’ will be Michael’s 23rd solo album and is made up of new and original material.

He will be dazzling audiences next September with shows at Leicester’s De Montfort Hall on the 17 and Nottingham Royal Concert Hall on 19.

Speaking ahead of the release of his new album, Ball said: “There’s probably only one thing I enjoy more than being in the studio — writing, producing, and singing songs with people I love — and that’s taking it all out on the road and performing those songs as well as all the old favourites to the audiences I love.

I hope you enjoy the new album, and I hope you come to see us on tour next year. It’s going to be an exciting year, and I can’t wait to see you all’’
