Wingstop is opening its first new restaurant in Derby city centre next week – and there’s free chicken for the first 100 hungry customers

Wingstop is to open a new restaurant inside The Derbion shopping centre next week, bringing its signature lemon pepper, hickory smoked BBQ and original hot and garlic parmesan wings to the shopping complex.

The popular chicken wing chain will open its new 1,700 sq. ft eatery at 10.30am on Monday, February 9. It will be located next to the Food Terrace on Level 2.

It will be the award-winning chicken wing favourite’s first site in the city. They currently have two restaurants in Nottingham and one in Leicester.

Chicken fans will be able to choose from a selection of signature wings, tenders and burgers, to seasoned fries, dips, milkshakes, freestyle drinks and churros, diners can discover the award-winning brand’s 10 bold flavours. These include Lemon Pepper, Mango Habanero, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Original Hot and Garlic Parmesan.

You can also take flavours to the next level with sauces like ranch, blue cheese and honey mustard.

To celebrate the opening of its first Derby site, the first 100 visitors through the door will receive eight free chicken wings or boneless pieces – so fans are advised to arrive early to be in with a chance of bagging free chicken.

Alongside freebies for the first 100 people, guests can enjoy a DJ playing top tunes throughout the day.

Wingstop UK joins Derbion’s line-up of over 30 eateries including favourites such as Wagamama, Five Guys, Nando’s, Zizzi and BEAR.

Wingstop opened its first restaurant in Texas back in 1994. Today there are more than 1,500 restaurants across world at locations including Mexico, Colombia, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK.
