Spud lovers, this is not a drill.
Tomorrow, the UK’s most-followed jacket potato legends SpudBros are finally pulling up in Nottingham — and yes, there are free potatoes involved.
The viral food duo are launching their brand new SpudBros Express store in Notts, teaming up with food brand giant Taster and petrol forecourt pros EG On The Move. And this isn’t just a one-off — it’s part of a pretty mad plan to roll out 30 roadside locations over the next three years. Casual.
If you’ve somehow missed them (where have you been?), SpudBros have already been popping up everywhere from London to Liverpool, Sheffield to Portsmouth — plus forecourt spots in places like Blackburn, Wakefield and Newcastle. Basically, they’ve gone from TikTok-famous to petrol station takeover very quickly.
And honestly? It makes sense. Forecourts are no longer just for sad sandwiches and overpriced meal deals — millions of people stop there every week, and SpudBros are clearly trying to make “loaded potato on the go” the new norm.

Nottingham’s opening is actually one of 15 locations launching this year alone, so yeah, they’re not slowing down anytime soon.
The new Express setup is designed for chaos (in a good way): quick service, massive portions, and fully loaded jacket potatoes that don’t taste like regret. Whether you’re grabbing lunch, refuelling mid-road trip, or just craving carbs at questionable hours, they’ve got you.
Menu-wise, expect the classics. The Tram Classic comes piled with garlic butter, their signature three-cheese mix, beans, crispy onions and that famous tram sauce everyone bangs on about. Or go rogue with the Spudfather, which is basically everything: chilli con carne, tuna coleslaw and bolognese (yes, really). If you’re picky, there’s also a build-your-own option.
Oh, and in case you needed convincing: The first 100 people in line from 11am get a free spud.
You already know people are going to queue.
The new store is opening on London Road, Trent Bridge (NG2 3BS) and will be open pretty much all week:
- Sunday–Thursday: 11am–9pm
- Friday & Saturday: 11am–10pm
So yes, post-night out potato is officially on the cards.
SpudBros co-founder Jacob Nelson said Nottingham has been “high on our list for a long time” — which, honestly, checks out given how many people have been begging for them to come here in the comments.
Taster’s CEO Bertrand Peyrat basically confirmed what we already know: people are obsessed because it’s good food and they’ve built a proper connection with fans. Meanwhile, EG On The Move is just happy to be levelling up its food game beyond the usual forecourt fare.
Long story short: Nottingham is getting loaded carbs, free food, and yet another reason to leave the house.
See you in the queue.
