The Snuts have announced their fourth album โ€˜Joy In Short Momentsโ€™ and shared new single โ€˜Defibrillatorโ€™ โ€” but itโ€™s their Nottingham stop that local fans will be eyeing up.

The band will bring their latest era to Rock City on November 27 as part of a sprawling UK tour, giving Nottingham one of the first chances to hear material from the new record live ahead of its October 23 release.

New single โ€˜Defibrillatorโ€™ lands as a buoyant, drum-heavy cut built around the idea of a โ€œliving wakeโ€ โ€” celebrating life with the people around you while you still can. Produced by frontman Jack Cochrane alongside Scotty Anderson, it signals a more reflective turn for the Scottish four-piece after a relentless few years on the road.

โ€œI wanted to write a track that detailed a conscious decision to live and love more,โ€ Cochrane said. โ€œTo take life less seriously and dilute ego as often as possible.โ€

That shift feeds directly into โ€˜Joy In Short Momentsโ€™, a record the lead singer says was shaped by stepping away from the chaos. After years of constant touring, Cochrane returned home, became a father and began confronting the bigger questions โ€” a headspace that looks set to define the bandโ€™s most grounded release yet.

For Nottingham, Rock City feels like a fitting stage for that next chapter. Having already built a reputation for packed-out, high-energy shows, The Snutsโ€™ return promises a mix of big-hitting classics and the more introspective edge of their new material โ€” with โ€˜Defibrillatorโ€™ likely to land as an early crowd moment.

The tour will ultimately culminate in a major London date at Brixton Academy on December 10, but for East Midlands fans, November 27 is the one to circle.
