Two vibrant specialist markets are set to bring fresh energy to Loughborough Market Place this month.

The ever‑popular Loughborough Artisan Market returns on Sunday, April 19, followed a week later by the first KickStart Market of the year on Sunday, April 26. Both events run from 10am to 4pm, offering plenty of time to explore.

The Artisan Market will feature an eclectic mix of farmers’ produce, arts, handmade gifts and tempting food stalls, making it a highlight of the monthly calendar.

The KickStart Market, meanwhile, gives new traders and entrepreneurs the chance to gain hands‑on experience running a stall. It’s also a great opportunity for visitors to discover emerging businesses and unique products. Held twice a year, in April and October, it has quickly become a favourite with both traders and shoppers.

There’s still time for traders to get involved in either event.

Loughborough Market continues to operate its regular retail markets every Thursday and Saturday, along with a vintage market every Friday.

Cllr Jenni Tillotson, the Council’s Lead Member for Housing, Economic Development, Regeneration and Town Centres, said: “There will be a fantastic variety of stalls across the two markets, which continue to prove popular with residents and visitors alike.

“Our specialist markets complement the weekly retail markets and Friday’s vintage market.

“Loughborough Market sits at the heart of the town with a rich history, and it’s important we continue to showcase everything it has to offer.”
