This notorious former Nottingham nightclub could be turned into flats

I-Club was shut down in 2025

A Nottingham nightclub that was shut down following a string of violent incidents could be given a dramatic new lease of life, with plans lodged to transform the former I-Club into six city-centre flats.

Plans have been lodged to create six flats in place of a nightclub that had its licence revoked due to crime and disorder.

Developer Blue 365 Limited wants to convert the former club at number four Wilford Street, into four one-bedroom and two two-bedroom flats.

Two commercial units on the ground floor would also be opened up for future business use under the plans.

The Nottingham Irish Centre, a registered charity, still runs activities for the Irish community from a members’ bar at number two, but no changes are planned for this venue.

The I-Club was managed by a separate tenant, and the nightclub had its licence revoked in September 2025 following concerns from Nottinghamshire Police over a spate of crime and disorder incidents.

It has since been vacant ever since.

Last year Nottinghamshire Police put up a notice outside the premises, which said the force had reason to believe the premises had been “associated with serious crime and/or disorder”.

The force applied for the club’s licence to be revoked in August 2025 and the venue was temporarily closed.

In June the year before (2024), Skye Severn was stabbed in the head outside the club by Connor Page.

The attack left part of the blade lodged in his skull.

Page, of Metcalfe Close, Derby, stabbed Mr Severn 12 times in the revenge attack following an earlier fight.

He was jailed for 25 years after being convicted of attempted murder.

Police said a woman was also assaulted outside the premises in April 2025, and a group of 20 men were involved in fighting outside the venue on the same night.

A further alleged violent incident took place inside the club on August 3.

Senior licensing enforcement officer Helen Guest-High, from the force, previously said: “The nature of these incidents has resulted in a complete loss of confidence in the operator’s ability to effectively manage the premises and has put the public at risk of harm.”

The club’s licence was revoked in September 2025 following a licensing committee meeting at Loxley House.
