Make mum-entous memories this Mother’s Day Weekend as Gulliver’s Kingdom reopens in Matlock Bath

The Matlock Bath theme park will open its doors for the season on the weekend of March 14-15

Mums will be the centre of attention when Gulliver’s Kingdom reopens for the new season thanks to a special Mother’s Day Weekend offer which sees adults go free with each paying child.

The theme park in Matlock Bath will open its doors for the season on the weekend of March 14-15, with tickets priced from £17.

Among the most popular rides at Gulliver’s Kingdom are those cool animatronic dinosaurs, the Drop Tower, Dino Falls, and the Pirate Ship, while two of last year’s new additions proved to be big hits – the Upside Down House and the Safari Kingdom area, which has an adventure trail for youngsters to explore.

Hannah Marsden, resort manager at Gulliver’s Kingdom, said: “Mother’s Day once again marks the start of a new season and it’s such a lovely way to welcome everyone back into the resort after being closed during the winter months.

“We have a great line-up of events and offers throughout 2026, including our Spring Spectacular during the Easter school holidays, when the Easter Bunny and Candy Crew will be hopping along to entertain youngsters. We can’t wait to welcome everyone, new visitors and regulars alike, to our Kingdom this year!”

You can also give mum an extra special treat by turning your visit to Gulliver’s Kingdom into an overnight stay at the resort. There is a wide range of accommodation options available in its Explorers Retreat, including Pirate Cabins, Promenade Rooms, Princess or Wizard Suites and The Willows, a modern accommodation offering inspired by Kenneth Grahame’s classic novel, Wind in the Willows

Gulliver’s Kingdom was established in 1978, the first of four resorts that now make up the Gulliver’s family, alongside Gulliver’s World in Warrington, Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes, and Gulliver’s Valley in Rotherham.
