Doner dreams DO come true: GDK heads to Lincoln this April

Lincoln’s High Street is about to get a serious glow‑up this April, as cult takeaway favourite German Doner Kebab (GDK) lands in the city for the very first time.

Yep — Lincoln is finally getting its own GDK, meaning locals will no longer have to travel all the way to Nottingham to get their fix of loaded kebabs, curry fries and indulgent late‑night bites.

Situated just a short walk from Lincoln Central Station and within easy reach of the University of Lincoln, the new spot is perfectly placed for students, shoppers and post‑night‑out cravings alike.

The menu promises all the GDK classics fans know and love, including waffle‑toasted bread kebabs, signature doner burgers, golden curry fries, and a growing range of plant‑based options for meat‑free munchers.

Simon Wallis, CEO of GDK, said: “Lincoln is a fantastic location with a strong sense of community. We’re excited to open our doors here and introduce even more people across the region to our fresh take on a much‑loved favourite.

“Our menu is all about quality ingredients, bold flavours and giving a modern, elevated twist to a nationwide classic.”

In other words: Lincoln’s kebab game is about to level up — and your post‑train, post‑lecture or post‑pub plans just got a lot tastier.

The company has restaurants elsewhere in the East Midlands – including in Nottingham and Leicester.
