Fancy yourself as the person who always cracks the case before the detective does? This Halloween, you can put your sleuthing skills to the test at an immersive murder mystery night taking over Leicester’s National Space Centre.
On Friday, October 30, 2026, the UK’s largest space museum will swap science for suspense as Cosmic Crime & Dine transforms its galleries into the scene of a live criminal investigation. Think CSI meets dinner party, with a side order of rocket ships.
Aimed squarely at fans of true crime podcasts, Netflix documentaries and TV detective dramas, the adults-only evening invites guests to become investigators for the night. Armed with a welcome drink and a healthy dose of suspicion, you’ll explore the National Space Centre after dark while attempting to solve a mystery unfolding around you.
The experience is led by a retired Scotland Yard investigator, who’ll reveal how real detectives piece together evidence before handing the case over to you. Expect fingerprint analysis, crime scene examinations, Photofit image creation, witness testimony and clue-hunting as you work out whodunnit.
And because every good investigation works up an appetite, the evening also includes a themed three-course dinner served beneath the centre’s towering rockets and spacecraft.

As the mystery reaches its dramatic finale, guests will compare theories, uncover the truth and discover whether they’ve got what it takes to make detective.
The event is designed for couples, groups of friends and aspiring amateur sleuths. Smaller bookings may find themselves sharing tables with fellow investigators, turning strangers into detective teams for the evening, while larger groups can reserve dedicated tables.
