Britpop favourites Supergrass are heading back on the road next spring, with a Nottingham Rock City show among a newly-announced run of UK headline dates.
The Oxford icons have revealed plans for a nine-date UK tour in April and May 2027, marking their first extensive headline run since celebrating the 30th anniversary of their classic debut album I Should Coco.
For Nottingham fans, the standout date comes on Tuesday, May 4, when Gaz Coombes and co. bring their acclaimed live show to Rock City, one of the band’s most-loved venues on the touring circuit.
Announcing the dates today (August 28), frontman Gaz Coombes said the band are eager to dive deeper into their back catalogue after focusing heavily on I Should Coco during previous shows.
“We’re excited to get back into it next year,” he said.
“Last time around was all about I Should Coco so for the next live shows we’re going to have some fun going through the records, pulling out even more of them hits and deep cuts for your ears. Bring on Spring ’27!”
The tour will see Supergrass perform songs spanning their entire career, from breakthrough anthems such as Caught By The Fuzz and Alright to later fan favourites including Richard III, Sun Hits The Sky, Moving and Pumping On Your Stereo.
Formed in Oxford in 1993, Supergrass quickly became one of the defining bands of the Britpop era. Their debut album I Should Coco shot to Number One in the UK and has since sold more than a million copies worldwide, cementing their reputation as one of Britain’s most enduring guitar bands.
Over the course of six studio albums, the trio earned a BRIT Award, an Ivor Novello Award, six UK Top 10 albums and ten Top 20 singles before splitting in 2010.
Their reunion in 2019 proved hugely successful, with sold-out shows across the UK and internationally, reigniting demand for one of the country’s most celebrated live acts.
Tickets for the newly-announced tour will first be available through an artist presale from 10am on Wednesday, September 2, followed by venue presales from 10am on Thursday, September 3. General sale begins at 10am on Friday, September 4.
