Ever watched Countdown or Wheel of Fortune and thought, “I could definitely do better than that”? Well, soon you’ll get the chance to prove it.
Interactive entertainment concept Gameshow All-Stars is bringing its game show-inspired experience to Nottingham next month, with a brand new venue opening on George Street.
The business, founded by Hannah Duraid and Aaron Giles, has already seen success in Sheffield and Leeds, and Nottingham is now next on the list as the company continues its UK expansion.
For anyone unfamiliar with the concept, Gameshow All-Stars basically lets you and your mates become the contestants. Instead of sitting at home shouting answers at the TV, you’ll compete in a series of interactive challenges inspired by some of the UK’s most recognisable game show formats.
The Nottingham venue will feature eight different games, all powered by immersive technology and live scoring systems. Experiences are inspired by classics including Countdown and Wheel of Fortune, with players going head-to-head in a bid to top the leaderboard.
The company describes the experience as a mix of nostalgia and modern gaming, combining familiar game show mechanics with technology-driven challenges designed to recreate the excitement of being on a real TV set.
Gameshow All-Stars first launched in Sheffield in September 2023 before expanding into Leeds last year, taking over the former Geek Retreat unit in the city’s Central Arcade. The Nottingham opening marks the brand’s third UK venue.
The new attraction is the latest addition to Nottingham’s growing entertainment scene and is expected to open its doors to its first players next month.
