With just days to go until Gloworm Festival returns to Thoresby Park, organisers have launched a brand new app, festival map and free programme to help families make the most of the weekend.
Preparations are now in full swing at the historic Nottinghamshire venue ahead of the festival’s 10th anniversary celebrations from 7 to 9 August, when around 20,000 visitors are expected to descend on the site for three days of family-friendly fun.
While glamping accommodation has completely sold out and camping availability is now extremely limited, families can still join the celebrations with day tickets remaining on sale.
For those staying on site, Saturday and Sunday begin with a more relaxed pace, with morning yoga sessions at 9.30am before the festival gates officially open at 10am. From there, the main stage bursts into life with a packed schedule of live entertainment, meet-and-greets and activities designed to keep children and parents entertained all day long.
One of the biggest attractions returns from 11am each day as CBeebies Bedtime Stories brings favourite characters and familiar TV faces together for storytelling sessions throughout the festival. The area will also host a number of meet-and-greet opportunities, alongside appearances on the main stage and within the VIP zone.
In a message included in this year’s programme, festival organisers reflected on Gloworm’s journey over the past decade.
“When Gloworm began at Clumber Park in 2016, it started as a simple idea: to create a festival designed around families spending quality time together. We wanted to create a place where children and grown-ups could make memories side by side, without unnecessary financial pressures getting in the way of that experience.
“Over the last ten years, that idea has grown and evolved beyond anything we could have imagined. Thank you for being part of our story.”
Playmobil is also returning as a major partner for the festival’s landmark year, bringing back its hugely popular Play Village. The dedicated play zone is packed with toys, creative activities and opportunities for children to let their imaginations run wild.
Festivalgoers can also look forward to the return of the much-loved Playmobil Rave, promising high-energy music, dancing and plenty of family fun.
To help visitors plan their weekend, organisers have also released the official Gloworm Festival app, which includes stage times, maps, line-ups, favourites lists and even a virtual glow stick. The app is available now via the App Store and Google Play.
Day tickets are priced at £42.50 for children and £52.50 for adults.
