Nottingham’s hidden cocktail bar, The Hockley Arts Club, has added another layer of mystery to its operations, thanks to the relocation of its iconic door to a new secluded spot.

Since its launch in 2015, the popular bar has offered a covert hideaway in a grade-II listed former lace showroom, with intrigue, award-winning cocktails and captivating interiors awaiting those who discovered its hidden walkway located in the heart of Hockley.

However, from today (15) locals will find The Hockley Arts Club’s new entrance on Warser Gate, under the glow of a neon sign, with visitors only able to enter via ringing a secret buzzer.

With the bar now under new management, the new entrance will coincide with a drive towards increased service standards and an even higher quality product, ensuring customers can enjoy everything they know and love about the venue with an even more luxurious experience.

The venue will remain untouched, with visitors able to enjoy the Blue Rooms on the middle floor complete with its vintage furniture, dark wood and retro lighting, as well as the picturesque top floor Electric Garden which features Chinese lanterns and a ceiling adorned with hanging cherry blossom.

Dan Ellis, CEO of Fletchergate Industries, said: “The Hockley Arts Club, has always been about capturing the mystery and excitement of a hidden speakeasy, with those in the know able to experience all it has to offer. The relocation of The Hockley Arts Club doorway is a progression of that spirit, allowing us to provide even more secrecy and intrigue, while encompassing all the exclusivity of a secret cocktail club.

“We’re always looking at new ways we can improve the experience we offer our customers, and this evolution of The Hockley Arts Club is one of a number of changes we have still to come across all our venues. Watch this space for even more exciting updates over the coming months.”
