Dreaming of a summer getaway but working with a budget? East Midlands Airport has unveiled a host of bargain return flights for July, with fares starting from just £31.
The budget-friendly deals, operated by Ryanair, include sunny Spanish beach destinations, stylish Italian city breaks and scenic Irish escapes — all for less than the cost of a night out.
Among the cheapest options are return flights to Girona and Reus, priced at just £36. Both Catalan cities offer easy access to the golden beaches of the Costa Brava, alongside plenty of culture. Girona is known for its beautifully preserved medieval quarter, colourful riverside houses and striking Gothic architecture, while Reus — the birthplace of famed architect Antoni Gaudí — is packed with elegant Modernist buildings and a lively food scene.

If island life is more your thing, return flights to Palma in Mallorca are available from £37. One of the Balearics’ most-loved destinations, Mallorca combines sandy coves and crystal-clear waters with centuries of history, from Roman ruins to Moorish landmarks. The island is also home to a thriving arts and music scene throughout the summer months.
Looking for a city break instead? Milan comes in as one of the cheapest fares at just £31 return. Italy’s fashion capital is packed with designer boutiques and stylish cafés, but there’s much more to explore beyond the shops. Highlights include the magnificent Duomo di Milano, the historic Sforza Castle and some of the country’s finest food and aperitivo spots.
For travellers keen to stay a little closer to home, there are also several low-cost routes to Ireland. Return flights to both Dublin and Knock are available from £31, while Belfast flights start at £36.
