Asda customers will soon be able to wash and dry their clothes while shopping, thanks to a new partnership that will see self‑service laundry machines installed in stores across the UK.
The supermarket giant has teamed up with ME Group International to roll out Wash.ME laundry units at Asda locations in the East Midlands, with the first machines launching from May.
The new machines will be installed across Asda Supercentres, Superstores, supermarkets and Express stores, making it easier for shoppers to tackle their laundry at the same time as picking up groceries.
Each Wash.ME unit features large‑capacity washing machines, with 9kg and 20kg drums, meaning shoppers can wash everything from everyday clothes to larger household items like duvets and bedding.

The machines also use energy‑efficient wash cycles and high‑speed drying, offering what Asda describes as a quick, convenient and great‑value way to do laundry.
At many locations, the laundry units will be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, giving customers extra flexibility to wash and dry clothes whenever it suits them.
Joseph Sutton, Vice President of Asda Express, foodservice and fuel, said the move is part of the retailer’s wider effort to make everyday life easier for customers.
He said: “We’re always looking for new ways to make life easier for the customers who shop with us, particularly by strengthening the breadth of services that meet their needs under one roof.
“This large‑scale rollout of Wash.ME units gives customers a quick, convenient and great‑value way to tackle their laundry while they shop. We’re pleased to be working with ME Group on this significant partnership and look forward to seeing the benefits it brings to customers across the UK.”
For Asda shoppers, it means one less chore to worry about — and the chance to leave the supermarket with their washing already clean and dry.
