Woman attacked with metal pole in Alfreton town centre

Police have launched an appeal after a woman was left with serious facial injuries when she was hit with a metal pole in Alfreton town centre.

Police said they were called to the incident in Nottingham Road at just after 11.40pm on Friday (20)

The woman in her 20s was taken to hospital for treatment.

Two other people, a man in his 20s and and a woman in her 30s, were also assaulted.

Officers confirmed that none of the injuries are serious or life-threatening.

They are now are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any CCTV or dashcam footage.
