The Beefy Boys are bringing the UK’s Best Burger to Nottingham with the launch of their ‘most northern’ restaurant later this April

The Beefy Boys will soon be bringing the UK’s Best Burger to Nottingham with the opening of their sixth UK restaurant later this year.

Set to be their most northern site to date, their new Queen Street eatery is to open following the brand’s huge success in Hereford, Shrewsbury, Cheltenham, Bath and Oxford.

Founded in 2011 by Anthony ‘Murf’ Murphy, Daniel Mayo-Evans, Christian Williams and Lee Symonds, the business began as a backyard BBQ venture before gaining international attention. The team placed second at the World Food Championships in Las Vegas in 2014 and finished fourth in Indianapolis in 2024. In 2023, they were named UK’s Best Burger at the National Burger Awards.

The announcement follows the 10-year anniversary of the opening of their first restaurant in Hereford

Co-founder Murf said: “Nottingham has been on our radar for a while. It’s a brilliant city with a buzzing food scene, so we can’t wait to bring our burgers here. Ten years on from opening our first restaurant, launching our sixth site feels like a huge milestone, and Nottingham feels like the perfect next chapter.”

The Nottingham restaurant will serve the brand’s core menu, including the Beefy Boy Burger and the Oklahoma Onion Boy Cali Style burger, alongside loaded fries, buffalo wings, vegetarian and vegan options and its hard shakes.

Recruitment for the new restaurant is under way, with up to 50 roles expected to be created across front and back of house operations.

Further details on the official opening date are due to be announced shortly.
