It seems a reunion of The Smiths is about as likely as Mansfield Town winning the Premier League – but fans in across the East Midlands can still celebrate their legacy at an event at Leicester Cathedral this November.

An Evening of The Smiths will take the iconic hits of the popular Manc band and reinvent them into epic showpieces with a full live band and string quartet.

The show takes place on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

The band will take you on a tour through the back catalogue of one of the UK’s best loved bands performing classic hits including This Charming Man, There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, Bigmouth Strikes Again, Well I Wonder, Heaven Knows I’m Miserable Now, What Difference Does It Make? and many more.

The concert is all seated, with different price bands available. On the evening the music will begin at 7.30pm, with two sets and a 20 minute interval, with the event finishing shortly before 10pm.

There will be refreshments, including alcoholic drinks on sale.

Ticket prices start from £18, with different band options available. There are also discounts for under 25s, but all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Tickets are very limited and are on sale now via Eventbrite.
