Emmanuel House Support Centre has smashed its £75,000 fundraising target in under a week — securing the future of its vital homelessness support services as it marks 50 years in Nottingham.
The charity launched an urgent public appeal on March 18, calling on the community to help close the final funding gap needed to buy its building on Goose Gate in Hockley. Just six days later, on March 24, Emmanuel House confirmed it had not only hit the £75,000 goal, but surpassed it.
The purchase — £535,000 in total — ensures the charity can keep its doors open for people facing homelessness. Early generosity had already raised around £460,000, and the final push from local supporters sealed the deal, protecting a lifeline that thousands rely on every year.
