Shed Seven have announced the return of their annual Shedcember winter tour – with the Britpop staples placing the East Midlands firmly at the heart of their biggest festive run to date.

Dubbed Shedcember X, the tour marks the 10th anniversary of the band’s much‑loved winter celebration and will see Rick Witter and company roll into Nottingham, Leicester and Lincoln, reaffirming their long‑standing bond with the region. Kicking off on November 13 and running through to December 12, the tour will take in more than 20 dates across the UK.

The full itinerary includes stops in Nottingham, Leicester and Lincoln with the East Midlands shows expected to be among the tour’s most electric.

At each date, fans can expect a career‑spanning set stacked with Shed Seven anthems, including ‘Going For Gold’, ‘Chasing Rainbows’, ‘Disco Down’, ‘On Standby’ and ‘Talk Of The Town’ — songs that have long soundtracked UK indie nostalgia and still hit hard live.

To mark the Shedcember milestone, the band have also shared a special short film written and directed by guitarist Paul Banks, leaning into the celebratory spirit of a tour that has become a winter institution in itself. Support across all dates will come from The Academic, adding further weight to the bill.

Tickets go on general sale at 10am on Friday, April 24.

The announcement follows an unstoppable run for the band. In 2024, Shed Seven scored two UK Number One albums with ‘A Matter Of Time’ and ‘Liquid Gold’, alongside ‘Changed Giver’, a reimagined take on their 1994 debut ‘Change Giver’. Last spring also saw the release of ‘The Covers’ EP and ‘Liquid Gold (Live At York Museum Gardens Edition)’, recorded during the band’s hometown performance in summer 2024.

With Shedcember X shaping up to be their biggest festive victory lap yet, and the East Midlands once again front and centre, Shed Seven continue to prove that history‑making comebacks don’t come louder — or more lovingly — than this.

Alright, cut the waffle…when DO Shed Seven play the East Midlands?
