East Midlands Airport has launched a new self‑service option for Meet & Greet customers, allowing travellers to drop off and collect their car keys using automated machines.

The update means customers can avoid queues by entering their details at self‑service kiosks in the Meet & Greet office, which produce a key tag for keys to be securely deposited. The process takes less than two minutes, although staff assistance remains available for those who prefer it.

On return, customers can collect their keys by scanning a barcode at automated lockers located in the arrivals hall, allowing them to head home without delays.

The change follows a refurbishment of the Meet & Greet office and upgrades to the nearby car collection area, which is now resurfaced and laid out in colour‑coded zones to help customers easily find their vehicle.

The move is part of East Midlands Airport’s wider £120m investment programme, which has already delivered improvements including a revamped security hall and upgraded passenger facilities.

Meet & Greet remains a popular option, with prices starting from £79 for an eight‑day stay, and customer satisfaction with landside services rising by 10.5% last year.
